Day 1: Yourself or your persona

I just want to clarify that I do not have purple hair.

A lot of people have messaged me about the 30 Day Challenge list. I hadn’t realized the link on my old post was down, so I’m reposting it now, as well as letting you all know for the next 8 weeks I’ll be posting every Monday with animated illustrations. Hopefully I can brighten up your otherwise dry work week Monday!

UPDATE: Sorry I fixed the list. There was bunch of dummy text in there. It’s all good now

I’m going to do this! But at my own pace, I’ve never done one of these challenge things before; I will just post a drawing whenever I get one done. We’ll see how this goes.

A while ago I watched Beauty and the Beast and the dancing scene inspired me to do a similar depiction of Howl and Sophie, though it ended up being pretty different. I tried to give this a fairy tale-like feeling, though I’m not sure how well that worked; nonetheless it was fun to finally do something bigger and more detailed. (^~^)

More experimenting in photoshop. Ever since I first saw Tuls I’ve wanted to draw him, I absolutely love his character design!

In my religious studies class we talked about how the yin and yang are complementary opposites, rather than opposing opposites, which made me think of these two.

This was going to be a full illustration but then partway through painting this I re-visioned what I wanted to do (which is finished but idk if I like it enough to post) but anyways I feel pretty ok about this so here are Ed and Al being adorable.
